Home ownership is for the birds

So Mike and I are having some unfortunate luck with our house this year. First it was the fridge's compressor dying. Buying a new fridge that I did not want was pretty awful, but the fact that I had about 75 bags of frozen milk in the freezer that went bad was the worst. It.All had.to.be.thrown.out.

Then, the idiotic delivery guys propped our storm door open and the wind blew it off. Causing us to need to get an entire new entry door system and hassle with Lowes' horrible insurance company that led us nowhere. Then having to file a claim with our own insurance company.

The ultimate was our air conditioning drain getting clogged and flooding our basement. Resulting in professional clean-up and removal of part of our carpet pad.

We were finally considering doing our landscaping. I guess our home just likes standing out as the only home in the neighborhood without any plants in front of it.
