We had a pretty low key weekend. It started with Christopher's soccer class where he had his first scrimmage - boys against girls. It was so much fun to watch. I only wish I had a video to share here, but Dad hasn't mastered watching and filming. All his shots were of the ground or wall because he was having such a great time watching. However, I do have an old video of Christopher kicking the ball around at soccer class.
The activities after soccer usually entail Dad and Mikayla taking a nap.
And Christopher watching a movie.
Our good friend Burns came over which always means wings for Dad.
And some grilling. This is a rib-chop and a new recipe I tried out for bacon-roasted cheesy potatoes.
Christopher also played a little outside.
And played in the "mud" (mulch). This was also about the time that he made a deal with me. It went something like this. Mom: Christopher why don't you hang out with me and your sister in the kitchen for a little bit. Christopher: Mom, I'll take my milk upstairs and drink it and then I'll come back down, that's the DEAL, Mom - you know that! Mom: A little speechless.
There was also a little nannana boo-boo going on.
On Sundays, Christopher and I always go to the store together. This time we ventured all the way downtown and saw some really, really tall buildings to go to Whole Foods. Christopher mainly goes on these trips with me for the free samples, however we got there too early. He then let me know as we were leaving that he was not scared of the escalator anymore and next time he would ride on it. We also got to see where dad worked - the place with all the flags.
Mikayla napped some more. Nothing comes between this girl and her bottle.
We decided to color our face because: "Mom, I'm Ironman"
Mikayla went a little nuts in her jumperoo.
We also practiced crawling.
And Christopher showed his sister how to play with some of her toys.
The weekend ended with a little time with Tony Horton and plyos for us and some homemade pineapple whip and chicken parmesan.
I am a marketing director that is persistent, direct, candid, analytical, goal-oriented and resourceful - this is what my personality profile states. However first, I am a mom and wife that is optimistic, organized, silly, educated, stubborn and loved. Here I write to my future self to capture the moments of my life that seem to pass by too fast.
