Our first family road trip

This is the first year Mike has really been able to take a vacation. He get's tons of paid time off at Manpower which brings a whole new meaning to us when it comes to vacations. So we bravely decided to take a road trip to Branson, MO. The car ride was pretty successful on the way down; however on the way back the kids and parents did get a little antsy about the last two hours. However, I would say that we would do it again. I'll post more about all the fun activities we did while on our long, long trip - as Christopher called it, but for now here are some pictures from the road.

Here is our new minivan, the Honday Odyssey. I must say we LOVE it. Even though I vowed I would never drive a minivan. I can't deny how stress free life is in a minivan :)

Mike was at the driver's seat almost all 10 + hours. I drove for about an hour and a half from Rolla to Springfield, but then my eyes got tired and I wanted to stop and get a soda and Mike made me switch.

This is how Christopher spent his trip, watching a superhero squad movie over and over. Next to him is Mikayla. She slept most of the way, I was nervous she wouldn't sleep that night because she slept so much on the trip. But she slept like her usual self - waking up at 3 or 4 in the morning for two ounces of formula. And not pictured is Granddad who occasionally fed Mikayla and then slept along side her :)
