We Have Hugs!

So it's not a surprise that Christopher has been trying to hug Mikayla since birth. We have a lot of moments telling Christopher that it the screaming means sounds like Mikayla wants her space.



Then, I saw it three times - only caught one on camera - Mikayla trapping Christopher in a hug!




She may be independent, but I think she may be a cuddle bug like her brother.

For the record, I taught him everything he knows about speaking to the press - just saying.

The Frigerator

So, out of the blue Christopher tells his Dad that he is like a refrigerator.  I thought they were finally talking about the Bears at school and no more Packer nonsense.

I mean, I totally see the resemblance.  Christopher clarified that he looks like a refrigerator. That he is shaped like one.


 Hmmm ...
Still a little perplexing.  Then we figured it out. He holds a lot food just like a refrigerator.

Weekend Wrap-Up

So we had an eventful weekend. Mike climbed 47 stories for the Fight for Air Climb for the American Lung Association. Go Mike!


I watched the kids do the norm.




Wrestle, watch TV ...







and climb on tables.



She thinks she is so funny, until she is stuck up there ... That's the end of the pictures. Mike ended up with the flu all day Sunday and then I had it all day Monday. Luckily, it only lasted about 24 hours.  My belated start to the week is going well so far ...

TV-Off Tuesday

Tuesday night I came home and I couldn't park my car. My birthday present came early - because I ordered it early. We had one more big box.


Hmm. I wonder what is in these boxes ....



We immediately played outside. The weather was beautiful.




Christopher went a little off roading.




But is getting more comfortable driving his car and his sister is liking riding along side him too.

Monday Adventures

So two Monday's ago, I had quite the adventure with kids while Mike was out doing something.  I was busy trying to keep the house in order since I would be leaving on Wednesday for six days.



Mikayla was busy eating her dinner and I was busy loading the dishwasher. Then BAM!!! I turn around and Mikayla is on the floor.


I was a good Mom and waited until after I got her out to take a picture of the chair she had kicked herself over in.  At this point I was holding her and she was looking at the chair and huffing. She was not happy with that chair.




Christopher had a dance party before bed.



From the looks of these pictures he looks very talented, but unfortunately they are just good timing on my part. He is kind of posing/falling in each of these. One day he'll be a star break-dancer.
