Happy Halloween

This Halloween felt almost like a Christmas holiday. Christopher had two celebrations on two different days at school, one for his daycare class and one for his preschool class. Then we had a Halloween party to go to and then we celebrated Halloween at our house on Halloween.

On our way to a Halloween Party of one of Mike's former co-workers.  We went trick or treating in their neighborhood.

Mikayla had everyone cracking up because she kept trying to get out of the stroller. At times she was hanging by just the straps. A few time other parents asked me how sure I was of the straps that were holding her in.

Christopher was a little bit of a slow poke on the trick or treating. He kept stopping to look at all the other costumes.

Then it was time to trick or treat at our neighborhood. We had to bribe Christopher to go out. All he wanted to do was hand out the candy to kids.

All Mikayla wanted to do is get tootsie rolls for herself.

I'm not too sure which Christopher enjoyed more the handing out or the trick or treating.

Mikayla our little stink lady bug.

Here is to next year and when Mikayla will be able to go out with her brother. I'm pretty sure she will pick trick or treating over handing out the candy.

Weekend Wrap-Up

Last week flew by.  It was nice to finally be home for the entire week.  I was definitely ready for our weekend.
It started like it always does, Mikayla falling asleep as soon as Dad and I finish our cofee.

Bailey - the good cat.

Christopher and I walked to a classmate/friend/neighbor's house for a play date.

Christopher ran into the kitchen saying, "bacon, I smell bacon, WHO IS cooking BACON" then he found. If only he had the same passion for veggies that he does for bacon.

I organized our entry way to get ready for winter and all the gear that comes with it.

Mikayla wore us out yet again.

Mikayla and Christopher played and played together.

This is them playing a little hide and hit seek.

Seeing as when Mikayla shows her affection to her brother by hitting him on the head all the time or trying to eat his hair. Luckily, Christopher does not respond inkind. He is always full of hugs and kisses for his little sister.

Weekend Wrap-Up Birthday Edition

This weekend was a special birthday celebration for Dad! We celebrated on Saturday because I'm out of town again and will be getting home on Dads birthday.

The day started with Dad sleeping in until 9 - which he couldn't do, but at least he got to relax a little in the morning. He then had breakfast and was off to get a massage.

Luckily, Mikayla took a decent nap in the highchair. Christopher and I had a lot of work to do.

Like bake a cake.

And decorate it. He said during this picture "Lets get this party started."

It's sooo pretty. In Christophers words, "Dad is three.one."

We then decorated the house for dads party.

And played outside to kill some time before dad got home.

Christopher wanted to carry his bike to his friend's house.

Mikayla getting antsy waiting for dad to get home.

SURPRISE!!!

Dad had no idea that Christopher and I had planned a surprise party for him.

It was a great time.

Dad had to then show off that he may be old, but he is still strong.

We ended the weekend with a family trip to Target.

10 Months

One picture sums up Mikayla at 10 months:

This girl is on the move. She keeps us all on our toes.

She loves her brother.

They are really starting to play together.

She definitely does not let him push her around.

Christopher thinks she is pretty special too.

She is getting close to walking - one step so far, but she is a strong stander.

She has two teeth and two on the way.

Weekend Wrap-Up

This weekend we had a special helper with us.

Ironman. Who said Halloween costumes are just for Halloween (Dad).

Christopher and did our usual trip to the store.

We also worked on his homework.

Such a pretty pumpkin.

We then baked pumpkin cranberry muffins.

A pirate read me a bed time story.

We went to the Zoo for the Lung Walk.

And road a train.

Then we tried to take Mikayla's ten month photo.
